What is Terpineol?

Terpenes, such as Terpineol, are found within the cannabis plant. There are over one hundred terpenes found in the plant, all of which have different benefits. These essential oils are responsible for the various aromas of cannabis, as well as effects.
What is Terpineol?
You can find this compound in more than 150 plants, including cannabis, pine trees, lime blossom and eucalyptus sap.

Elements found in cannabis and plants affect the brain’s receptors and how they function. They directly influence the neurotransmitters of the brain in different ways.
Animal Studies have proven to be promising in demonstrating how dosages between 100-400mg of terpineol are able to improve the severity of seizures in mice suffering from seizures. Strains containing high doses of this compound may be ideal for humans suffering from chronic seizures, however, always best to check with the doc.
In June 2010, research found that terpineol could be a potential anti-cancer agent. This study suggests that it could be particularly beneficial for those suffering from small cell lung carcinoma.
Here is another in-depth study which reveals how terpineol may produce an anti inflammatory response.
